This year’s program, co-located with WasteExpo, features innovators and problem-solvers
Between the ever-increasing tsunami of plastics; textile- and food waste filling up landfills; and mountains of packaging being kicked to the curb every day, it’s time for bold action toward a sustainable future.
It’s time to ask how we can all do our part, innovate, and lead this charge—which is the basis for 2023’s Waste360 Sustainability Talks. The event is co-located with WasteExpo, and takes place May 1-3 in New Orleans, LA.
This three-day event features real talk from those who are fighting the sustainability fight every day. The goal is to help and inspire the broader waste and recycling industry (and beyond) to effectively take on plastics, packaging, and other environmental challenges.
Liz Bothwell, Head of Content & Marketing and Waste360 NothingWasted! Podcast Host, said that, “This year's program is a crucial step in advancing the conversation on sustainability. In order to really move the needle on sustainability and climate change, it will take the entire industry working together, learning from each other, sharing best practices, and collaborating—and that’s what this event is designed to foster.”
The agenda features speakers from leading organizations including TerraCycle, The Recycling Partnership, Wastequip, WM, Returnity, Re:Dish, EREF, and many more.
Sessions include:
- Breaking the Mold for Hard-to-Recycle Materials
- Continuing to Chase Transparency: Carbon Labeling
- Driving Measurable Improvement in Household Recycling Behaviors
- How Do We Scale the Reuse Economy?
- Minimum Recycled Content: Challenges and Opportunities
- Scope 3 Emissions: How the Waste Industry Can Help Companies Achieve Emissions Goals
- Trash to Treasure: Redefining “Value” in the Waste Stream
All in all, Waste360 Sustainability Talks promises a productive few days of innovative thinking, real-world takeaways, and profitable networking! It is included with the WasteExpo Premium Package, or you can register for it separately.
