Crown Waste Corporation is proud to announce that they have purchased a Dennis Eagle Truck that will be the 2nd of its kind to service the streets of New York City. Equipped with a panoramic cab, this unique model allows for direct driver visibility of pedestrians and cyclists with unparalleled safety standards.
Crown Waste Corp. felt it was important to be one of the first companies in NYC to add a Dennis Eagle to its fleet. Giovanna Antonacci, COO of Crown said she entered the Waste Expo in 2022 looking for an opportunity to exceed the industry standard. She stated, “Crown Waste is committed to keeping the community and pedestrians safe, I knew this was the truck that could do just that when I saw it.”
Crown Waste Safety Manager, Nicholas Antonacci, is also ensuring employee well-being is at the center of the company’s safety initiatives. The truck is customized with five additional cameras on the exterior, strobe lights along the onboard scale system, and in-cab tablets with routing software to help complete daily routes efficiently. Nicholas says, “The drivers and helpers have given nothing but positive feedback- it has made the job easier, safer, more enjoyable, and we cannot wait to add more.” Crown Waste plans on adding three more Dennis Eagles to their fleet by 2024.
Founded in 1958, Crown Waste Corp is a third generation family-owned and operated private sanitation company. Crown operates throughout all of Queens, Manhattan and Nassau County.
