(April 28, 2017 –For Immediate Release)
Elizabethtown, KY - Red River Waste Solutions (Red River) would like to announce a 36 month contract extension of its Residential Solid Waste Collection contract for the unincorporated service areas of Hardin County KY. The Hardin County Fiscal Court voted unanimously this week to extend the contract for another contract term. County officials cited excellent service and great working relationship as a compelling reason to extend.
Red River was awarded the County’s residential solid waste collection contract in 2014 to service just under 15,000 customers with a weekly collection service. All waste collected under this contract is hauled to the County’s Pearl Hollow landfill for final disposal. This contract is an anchor contract for Red River in North Central Kentucky. Red River has a growing hauling operation based in Elizabethtown where they have expanded its service capability by offering residential, commercial and industrial collection services throughout the area. In addition, Red River has been providing both residential and commercial solid waste collection services on Fort Knox to include managing and operating the Army’s construction and demolition landfill for well over 20 years.
Red River is rapidly expanding its presence in this market area and are also accepting additional residential subscription customers throughout the City of Elizabethtown and surrounding areas.
