- Waste Management released its financials from the fourth quarter of 2014, as well as for the entire year.
- Revenues dropped slightly for the waste and recycling giant in Q4, reported as $3.44 billion in 2014—compared with $3.50 billion for the fourth quarter in 2013.
- Looking at the full-year results, revenue grew to $14 billion in 2014, compared with $13.98 billion in 2013.

David Steiner, the president and CEO of Waste Management said, “We built strong momentum during the first three quarters of 2014, and that momentum continued into the fourth quarter. Our strong pricing and cost controls delivered growth in our traditional solid waste business as income from operations grew $36 million and income from operations margin rose."
The results were positive for investors. Shares closed at $53,94, up $2.65 or 5.2% from the previous close.
