Waste Management was recognized for its efforts to divert millions of tons of recyclables from landfills and for supporting charitable organizations through monetary and service donations. In addition, the hauler demonstrated corporate responsibility by producing energy from methane that was used to power half-a million households, dedicating more than 25,000 acres for use as wildlife habitats and for reducing emissions by using 3,700 CNG trucks in its fleet.
