- Waste Management announced that it has elected Andrés Gluski to its board of directors effective January 1.
- Gluski is president and CEO of the AES Corporation (AES), where he has held various global leadership positions. AES is currently one of the biggest independent power producers in the world.
- With the addition of Gluski to the board, there are now nine members that comprise the board of directors at Waste Management.
