Waste Management acquires OH hauler

  • Waste Management acquired Big O Refuse LLC, a waste and recycling company located in Newark, OH, for an undisclosed amount.
  • Big O operates in eight counties and has 42 employees. It serviced 25% of Newark residents. The majority of Big O employees will reportedly join Waste Management.
  • The firms will merge within the next 90 days.

Dive Insight:

According to Waste Management, based in Houston, the company now operates the largest hauler in the region offering waste and recycling services to residential, commercial and industrial customers.
