- Greensboro, NC-based Unifi Inc, which manufactures several recycled yarn lines, has hired Sean D. Goodman as its new chief financial and chief accounting officer, replacing James M. Otterberg. Otterberg resigned from his position earlier this month after being CFO since 2013.
- The multinational company is expanding its flagship Repreve recycled fiber in Taiwan and Turkey. Unifi is also expanding its recycling facility in Yadkinville, NC with a $10 million, 85,000-square-foot addition, which will add up to 20 new positions.
- The company's stock was valued at $30.04 per share as of Nov. 24.

Through diversification and a focus on marketing recyclable materials to large retail chains, Unifi is climbing the ranks in the manufacturing world. Its multiple product lines are used in the apparel, hosiery, automotive, home furnishings, industrial and other end-use markets.
The company has attracted Ford, North Face, and the Detroit Lions, and has also partnered with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford to increase recycling awareness.
