With the EU Renewable Energy Directive's deadline looming, biogas from Anaerobic Digestion (AD) could generate in excess of 11 TWh of energy by 2020, enough to power around 2.5 million homes and an increase of over 800% over current levels, according to a recent report by independent think tank, CentreForum.
