• Second Cycle Recycling (SCR) has signed a lease to operate a production facility located in Kokomo, IN.
• SCR is a subsidiary of Kleangas Energy Technologies Inc., and is based in Tampa, FL. Kleangas acquired SCR in May of 2014. The company manufactures and sells wood pellets and holds a patent for its waste-to-electricity technology.
• The expanded plant will make a range of products used in the pet industry, including cat litter and animal bedding. These products are comprised of paper and cardboard.

Dive Insight:

Kleangas said the plant expansion will increase the company’s production rate five-fold. The new plant allows the company to add more equipment that will, in turn, lead to new lines of animal bedding and litter products.
