Dive Brief:

• SA Recycling LLC, a processor and supplier of ferrous and nonferrous scrap, announced the purchase of two recycling firms. 
• Arizona Recycling Corp. operates four ferrous and nonferrous sites throughout Arizona. SA will use ARC as a feeder yard for its shredder operations. 
• SA also bought Newell Recycling Co. of El Paso; SA will support its current operations by implementing the shredding operation acquired through this purchase. SA now operates seven auto shredders.

Dive Insight:

Both purchases were effective on June 1, 2014. Each company will take the SA Recycling company name. The company says its recent acquisition will expand its business in the West. SA Recycling runs 50 recycling facilities in four states: California, Arizona, Nevada and Texas.
