Dive Brief:

• While collecting trash at a dumpster in Pacific Grove, California, a sanitation truck became loose and rolled down a hill. 
• The unmanned truck ran into two cars and a house. Then it hit an SUV that was parked in a driveway, forcing the SUV into a nearby home. A gas line was broken in the incident.
• The driver of the truck had stepped out of the vehicle to prevent the dumpster from moving, and forgot to put the truck in park. 

Dive Insight:

Both homes have structural damage. Neighbors were evacuated as firefighters secured the broken gas line. The driver sustained minor injuries as he initially tried to prevent the dumpster from moving.
