• The firms are father and son family hauling operations which offer pick-up for commercial, industrial, and residential waste in southwest Iowa.
• Buying the two firms makes sense for Red River’s existing operations. The firm’s Council Bluffs, IA, operation provides waste and recycling for that city.

Acquisitions in the recycling and waste industry have been building the strength of various firms. Earlier this month, Sturgeon Bay, WI-based Little Haulers was bought by Ponte Verde-based Advanced Disposal.
