The Quebec site can generate enough gas to fuel 1,500 trucks for 20 years and result in the avoidance of greenhouse emissions of around 1.2 tons of carbon dioxide over 10 years. The waste firm, one of the largest in North America, operates in Texas, New York, Pennsylvania, and in Missouri. When combined, the site’s produce enough electricity to power 32,000 homes.
