- Progressive Waste, one of Canada's largest waste management firms, announced its acquisition of 19.9% interest in TerraCycle Canada, an international recycling and up-cycling company that collects and repurposes post-consumer waste.
- The two companies are collaborating on various zero-waste recycling initiatives to households, municipalities, institutions, and businesses in Canada. Progressive Waste is based in Ontario, while TerraCycle is in Toronto.
- Progressive's network and infrastructure will give TerraCycle access to greater distribution capabilities and greater efficiency for its recycling fundraisers.
