• Pizza boxes are now accepted as recyclable in Charlotte, North Carolina. 
• The spokesperson for Charlotte Solid Waste Services, Charita Curtis, said that changes in the way pizza was made and packaged changed, allowing the discarded boxes to now be collected through curbside recycling.
• According to Curtis, most pizza restaurants have returned to leaving a buffer between the food and the box, preventing the boxes from short-circuiting the process as it had done in the past.
