- PHG Energy (PHGE) and Lebanon, TN, entered into an agreement to use waste to create power through a new waste-to-energy (WTE) facility.
- The partnership includes the construction of a gasification plant that is expected to transform as many as 64 tons of wood, tires, and sewer sludge daily into fuel capable of producing 300Kw of electricity.
- The WTE facility is expected to divert 8,000 tons of waste annually.

This project is PHGE’s 14th installation plant. The company’s first municipal facility went operational in 2013 in Covington, TN. In January, PHGE acquired MaxWest’s gasification facility and intellectual property.
