The West Virginia House of Delegates adjourned its regular session without taking up a bill that would have allowed for the disposal of electronics in landfills.
House Bill 4643 was introduced by Delegate Troy Andes, R-Putnam, W.Va., and would have amended the state's law which bans electronics from solid waste landfills. The landfill ban went into effect on Jan. 1, 2011, and covers computers, monitors and televisions. The bill was sent to a committee on government organization and judiciary, but it was not heard before the regular session, which ended on March 17.
