- Midland Recycling, in Lincoln, NE, is changing its name back to its old moniker of Mid America Recycling. The change comes after the firm recently was bought by former owners Mick Barry and Brian Meng.
- Barry and Meng launched and ran Mid America Recycling from 1996 to 2007. Now, the primary focus of the company will be to grow its customer base, Midland Recycling said in a press release.
- Midland Recycling’s plant in Lincoln has been a regional leader in recycling, and now is part of a growing firm being assembled by Barry and Meng.

"My business partner, Brian Meng, and I will utilize our experience, resources and intellectual capital to ensure that Mid America Recycling will return to the forefront of the recycling industry in the Central United States," he said in a news release.
