- Infrastructure projects were judged on scale, feasibility, technical and financial complexity, innovation, and overall impact on society
- Projects were grouped in ten different categories - Urban Mobility, Global Connectivity, Water, Urban Regeneration, Education, Healthcare, New and Extended Cities, Urban Energy Infrastructure, Communications Infrastructure, and Recycling and Waste Management
