NTR Metals and Ohio Precious Metals have merged to create a company that will sell about 10% of the world's recycled gold.
The two companies will continue to operate separately, but under a newly formed parent company called Global Metals Holdings LLC, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Dallas-based NTR Metals and Jackson, Ohio-based Ohio Precious Metals collect scrap and old jewelry from electronic manufacturers, dentists and pawn shops.
