• A former co-director for a landfill in Fort Dodge, IA was arrested by authorities for allegations involving the use of company equipment to move topsoil on private property.
• The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation released a statement saying that Michael Dean Grell was charged with first-degree theft by misappropriation, a class C felony punishable by fines totaling $1,000 to $10,000, and a sentence of up to 10 years in prison. 
• Grell allegedly used landfill equipment, employees and additional resources from spring to winter of 2012.
