- An explosion on Monday at a Neosho, MO recycling plant killed one person and injured another.
- The explosion at USA Metal Recycling caused little damage to the plant’s building, said Wes Franklin, Neosho city spokesman. He said that Cody D. Brisco, 20, of Granby, MO, was killed by the explosion.
- Tyler Spencer, 23, of Granby, MO, was injured in the explosion.

It’s unclear what caused the explosion at USA Metal Recycling, but the cause is being investigated. The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is looking into the accident with a recently begun investigation. OSHA officials said Spencer will likely recover from his injuries.
"At this point, we don't know what caused the explosion, but we will be conducting a thorough investigation into the cause, and preventive ways to avoid this from happening again," said Barb Theriot, the Kansas City OSHA Area Director, in a statement.
