- E-Waste Systems, Inc. (EWSI) an electronic waste management and environmental services company with corporate offices in Cincinnati, Ohio, London and Shanghai, signed a contract worth $30 million with its investment partner, Tanke Incorporated.
- The agreement will allow for further expansion and revenue growth in the China market. With massive e-waste waste streams, the proper infrastructure needs to be built in order to manage it.

Electronic waste is the fastest growing waste stream. 65 million tons of global e-waste is expected to be generated by 2017, according to projections. In 2012, China produced 7.25 million metric tons of e-waste, while the U.S. weighed in at 9.4 million tons.
