- Seneca Landfill was given fines totaling $634,375 stemming from violations for the improper storage of unapproved waste. The landfill is located in Butler County, Pennsylvania.
- The DEP hit the waste transportation company, Vogel Disposal, with fines totaling $645,644. The company hauled over 500 receptacles of unapproved oil and gas waste to the Seneca site.

The fines, some from violations which occurred as early as 2011, are the result of the site exceeding daily maximum capacity, neglecting to create an odor control plan, mismanagement of leachate and the failure to properly maintain equipment.
