- Middletown, OH-based Cohen Recycling said that the Wise facility in Lexington is now closed, with employees staying on at Baker and transitioning to work in its two facilities in Lexington.

The Baker family began the recycling company in 1921 using the name Baker Iron & Metal Company, while in Ohio, the recycling firm Cohen Brothers Inc. was founded in 1924. Cohen eventually acquired the Bakers' company.
Currently, the firm operates 20 recycling facilities across three states.
