Dive Insight:
On Wednesday, supervisors took a vote and repealed the special business privilege tax. The tax was initially enacted in 1982 at 3%, and later altered in 1985 to 4%. From this point forward, the township and landfill will adhere to the information in the 2009 host agreement.
As per the terms of the settlement, the township will not oppose permit applications and the proposal for a 22-acre expansion at the landfill.
