Dive Insight:
Both the company and the town of Golden are pleased with the arrangement.
"Alpine Waste & Recycling was chosen for its ability to provide services that meet all current and long-term, anticipated requirements within the Golden community at a fair price," says Theresa Worsham, sustainability coordinator for Golden.
The town also notes that Alpine uses natural gas trucks and has a GPS system for efficient truck routes. Additionally, residents will benefit from single-stream recycling that will take in a greater variety of materials.
