Dive Insight:
An increasingly competitive market nationwide has resulted in many waste haulers and recyclers going out of business due to lack of profitability. Advanced Disposal also has had losses, including a net loss of $17.1 million suffered in 2014 by ADS Waste Holdings, Advanced Disposal’s operating firm. The firm’s acquisition should stabilize its position.
