- Advanced Disposal, a waste and recycling company based in Ponte Vedra, FL, has released its 2014 Q2 earnings results.
- Revenue for the period ending on June 30, 2014 was $359.9 million, as compared to $333.6 million for the same time period in 2013 -- an increase of $26.3 million, or 7.9%.
- Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations for the second quarter was $96.2 million compared to $94.1 million during the same timeframe one year earlier.

During the earnings call, Richard Burke, the CEO of Advanced Disposal, cited the company beginning its large municipal contract with the city of Detroit, MI as one reason for the strong numbers.
Burke also mentioned increasing volumes of waste in the Midwest, but expressed concerns about a decrease in recycling and in residential collections. Corrugated cardboard pricing is impacting the recycling portion of company’s business as well.
