Advanced Disposal Services received authorization Monday to install a recyclable materials transfer station in an industrial district on McAfee Road in east Bibb County.

The Macon-Bibb County Planning & Zoning Commission approved a conditional-use permit for the transfer station at 100 McAfee Road, off Riggins Mill Road.

The center would be used for residential curbside collection, such as glass, paper, plastic and corrugated cardboard collected from Advanced Disposal’s clients...
