- Advanced Disposal bought Disposal Management Systems Inc., a waste and recycling firm based in Schaumberg, IL. Four Disposal Management employees are being hired along with the company’s acquisition.
- The purchase is the latest in a string of companies bought by Ponte Vedra, FL-based Advanced Disposal. Last month, the firm bought Little Hoppers, a Sturgeon Bay, WI-based waste hauler. That was the fourth acquisition by Advanced Disposal this year.
- Advanced Disposal’s CEO, Richard Burke, has said the firm is working to achieve between $30 million and $50 million in growth in 2015.

Advanced Disposal’s expansion plan bears watching, since buying a company is just half the equation. Running the company so that it is profitable, the other half, is where the acquisition can prove worthwhile or a bust.
