• Advanced Disposal, a waste and recycling company based in Ponte Verda, FL, acquired Breezewood, PA-based Weaver’s Sanitation Services, Inc.
• The purchase includes certain assets in the hauler’s Somerset County, PA  markets. 
• The agreement between the two haulers sees Advanced Disposal taking over Weaver’s residential and commercial customers, including containers, located in the Somerset area. 

Dive Insight:

Weaver’s Sanitation Service was established in 1969 and had been family-owned until it reached the agreement with Advanced Disposal. 

Dave Lavender, Advanced Disposal’s regional vice-president, said, “This acquisition complements our existing base of business in the greater Somerset market.”

In 2013, Advanced completed 17 acquisitions within a one-year timeframe, including assets in Kane, PA. The hauler’s expansion plans are meant to serve its intention for calculated growth in targeted markets.
