- The current 217-acre landfill site will reach capacity in an estimated 17 years. The expansion would add an additional 80 years of use.
Dive Insight:
The city of Clint agreed to terms that include not seeking authorization for any future horizontal expansion of the site using its 2002 permit. The aforementioned permit came from from a mediation settlement between the city and members of the community. Clint also agreed to perform beautification and launched a process for complaints and reports.
