- The CNG trucks replaced the older fleet which used diesel and liquid natural gas to operate.
- A natural gas fueling station was built by Republic for the trucks to re-fuel during off-peak hours.

Around 50% of the vehicles which Republic acquired in 2013 are CNG. The solid waste and recycling company's fleet is comprised of over 1,400 CNG trucks, and the company operates 26 natural gas fueling stations across the U.S.
