About 50 percent of Republic's fleet bought this year are operated using natural gas. Each truck reduces harmful emissions by an estimated 80 percent. This announcement follows the recent addition of 107 vehicles to the company's fleet in Anaheim, California. Republic had previously introduced CNG trucks in Massachusetts, South Carolina, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
