- A Fall River, MA waste hauler has been told to pay $6.5 million as part of a settlement of a class action lawsuit brought against it by employees. Allied Waste Services will pay the funds to 450 drivers.
- The drivers sued the firm over miscalculations in health insurance deductions from their paychecks, which happened from 2008 to 2015, The Herald News reported.
- "This is a life-changer for me and my coworkers," said Robert Swiderski, a truck driver who is the lead plaintiff in the case.

Allied Waste Services has done its best to fix this problem, according to the plaintiffs and their attorneys. The firm treated plaintiffs with "utmost respect throughout the entire process," plaintiffs’ attorneys Jonathan D. Friedman and Adam J. Shafron said.
"My company Allied Waste Services also treated me very fairly and professionally during this difficult legal process," Swiderski said.
